January 2015 - Current

  • Created simple virtual reality scene for proposals on the Gear VR. 3DS Max was used to simplify Revit models and texture baking. Unity was used for scene assembly and VR development.
  • Used Autodesk InfraWorks to create and edit roads, adjust building heights, and populate a 3D terrain with vegetation for a proposal.
  • Design and maintain internal web app using HTML and CSS.
  • Data-linking using Gruff, a triple-store browser, for internal web app.
  • Provided various 3D modeling, animation, and video services to other departments wherever needed.

Virtual Design and Construction Assistant

September 2013 - December 2014

Assisted in the development of prototype apps that explored potential use cases for augmented reality in construction. Converted and retopologized 3D models from CAD packages such as MicroStation and SmartPlant. The augmented reality experiences were created using Metaio Creator and Metaio SDK:

  • SpoolTool – Worked closely with internal iOS developer and construction team to develop a proof-of-concept app that allows field engineers to view and update real-time data from the company’s internal equipment and material quanitity tracking software. Interactive 3d models and 2d drawings were displayed alongside the data to eliminate paper waste.
  • Safety and Compliance – created an augmented reality scenario that displayed transparent safety boxes around hazardous areas that are supposed to be clear of piping and cables.
  • ARDemo – internal augmented reality demo that explored use cases for augmented reality.
